The H2PTM (Hypertexts, Hypermedia, Products, Tools, Methods) Conference is a biennial scientific event that brings together researchers around themes of hypertexts and hypermedia. The conference acts as the crossroads between the domains of, among others, Information and Communication Sciences, Computer Science, Art and Cognitive Sciences.

The 2025 edition takes a particular interest in the evolution of the use of hypermedia and the interactions between technologies and society.

On this occasion, Vitia Murat, alumni of the JMIN Master's degree (Cohort 19 / 2022-2024) will present a research paper co-written with Stéphane Natkin, Karim Medjad and Xavier Retaux, as part of their second-year master's internship.

This piece of academic work, entitled "De la décision dans les jeux vidéo : le biais ludique" ("Decision in Video Games: The fun bias"), offers an in-depth reflection about the nature of decisions taken in video games and the difference between them and real-life decisions. The authors explore the concept of "the fun bias", a plausible phenomenon that could play a key role in understanding players' behaviour through the filter of a game.
