Taking over the town of Angoulême every year since 1974, the festival continues to grow and welcomes over 6,000 professionals (creators, editors, etc) and many more enthusiasts from all over the world. The event’s unique feature is its ability to bring together diverse types of comics, such as American comics, Japanese manga and Franco-Belgian comics, and showcase both experts in the field and emerging talents.

It truly is the unmissable event for fans of the 9th art.

Festival-goers can enjoy a wide range of activities, including:

  • Around 20 exhibitions
  • 8 spaces devoted to different themes (youth, editors, manga…)
  • Comic book shows
  • Masterclasses
  • And much more…
