Grand Final of the Game Cup #2

After the success of the first edition in 2020, the Game Cup is back on Tuesday 6th April 2021!

Created by KissKissBankBank and made possible by the support from its loyal partners, la Banque Postale, Jeux Vidéo Magazine, Pôle Image Magelis, Cnam-Enjmin and the Nouvelle Aquitaine Region, this original contest aims to discover and support new emerging video game talents.

Open to all studios and indeptendent creators who wish to develop a new game, the Game Cup awards 4 winners in two candidate categories:

• Newbie (2 winners) which awards individual or team creators, without a company behind them or with a company that has been around for less 3 years
• Boss (2 winners) which awards creators who work in a development studio that has been around for 3 or more years

The second edition of this contest will take place over several stages.

• From 6th April 2019 to 6th June 2021: call for projects
• End of June 2021: Selection of 8 applications (4 in each of the 2 categories) by a jury of experts in the gaming sector
• From 12th July to 31st July 2021: a first stage of voting on social networks open to the public so they can support their favourite game in the lead up to the Grand Final
• Thursday 30th September 2021: Grand Final of the Game Cup #2 with the presentation of 8 finalists projects during an event open to everyone at Cnam-Enjmin in Angoulême, live voting and announcement of the winners!
• From Febuary 2022: the 4 winners will launch their crowdfunding campaigns on the KissKissBankBank platform, in order to validate their concepts with the general public and benefit from the financial endowment, paid directly from the collections.
