Wistfulware

Wistfulware is a studio which has been developing video games since 2021. We have our heart set on creating games which pay tribute to games which left their mark on us, as well as bringing a new dimension to the experience, whether it be in terms of history, gameplay or aesthetic. We really want every member of our team to be satisfied and happy in their domain, all while creating an end product true to our project vision.

We are currently developing MAELSTRÖM LEGACY : Le Mystère Tesla, a cross between a puzzle and aim & shoot game.

Hayao Maelström is a young Japanese detective in Paris for the Scientists Congress organised by Nikola Tesla and other scientists. However, during the opening speech, the lights suddenly go out - when they're eventually turned back on, Tesla has disappeared! While the police have no leads, Hayao, accompanied by his four-legged companion, Alpina, lead an investigation on the disappearance of the famous scientist, facing many riddles and action, in order to discover who may have a grudge against Tesla. The game transports players to a steampunk and art nouveau Paris in the 1940s. Below are some pictures to whet your appetite for the upcoming game!

The game is a tribute to some well-known games, such as Professor Layton and Ace Attorney, but also to a scientist who people know little about, Nikola Tesla.
