Le Lycée de l’Image et du Son d’Angoulême, in partnership with the Théâtre Auditorium de Poitiers, Cnam-Enjmin, l’EMCA, l’Ecole d’art de GrandAngoulême, l’école Emile Cohl and Magelis have come together to create the 5th edition of the Courts d’Écoles Festival, a condensed version of end-of-studies films from cinema schools all around the world, chosen for the Poitiers Film Festival.
A selection committee made up of students from the five schools (LISA, Cnam-Enjmin, EMCA, École d'art de Grand-Angoulême and École Emile Cohl) took part in the Poitiers Film Festival last December and selected films that will be screened on 13th and 14th January 2025 in the LISA lecture theatre during 2 evenings of screenings and debates.
Programme of each evening:
- 18:30 - 20:00 International Selection Screening
- 20:00 - 20:45 Discussions with the filmmakers
- 20:45 - 21:30 Dinner buffet
As well as simply screening the short films, the aim is to give students from Angoulême's film schools the opportunity to exercise their critical eye, to talk to each other, and to exchange ideas with established and up-and-coming directors.
Throughout the Poitiers Film Festival, there will be video conferences held with the directors whose films have been selected to enable exchanges with students from the various schools involved in the project.
